Renacimiento Psychological Services (RPS) was founded in 2023 by Dr. Vreny Ramirez-Camarena, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. Dr. Ramirez-Camarena established RPS to address concerns she witnessed throughout her experience as a therapist, client, and mental health employee.

Over the years, she has observed high rates of burnout among skilled therapists, often due to inadequate support systems and problematic organizational cultures within their workplaces, leading to the detrimental loss of valuable professionals in the mental health field.

Moreover, she has noted the disconnect between decision-makers in leadership positions and the lived experiences of Latin communities they serve. This lack of direct, meaningful engagement can result in policies and practices that fail to effectively address the unique mental health needs and perspectives of these communities.

Furthermore, Dr. Ramirez-Camarena recognizes the scarcity of culturally responsive services and supportive resources available to both Latin clients and employees within the mental health sector, which can exacerbate existing disparities, hinder equitable access, and reinforce the stigma surrounding seeking mental health services.

RPS is uniquely positioned to enact change by leveraging our CEO's expertise to guide client services, support staff, and shape the success of RPS.
